Living Reviews in Relativity: 10 Years Online!
Saturday, January 26th, 2008On January 26, 1998, the first four articles were published in a journal with a unique concept: online only, open access, and regularly updated review articles in all areas of relativity.
Ten years later, Living Reviews in Relativity has reached its goal “to become one of the first places a scientist looks for information about work in the fields of gravitational physics.”
Moreover, it has been among the pioneers of the open access movement, and triggered similar journals in further disciplines. The value of freely available, up-to-date scientific information has been acknowledged by fellow scientists: Living Reviews in Relativity has been cited in more than 2,500 peer reviewed journal articles by 2007.
